I am typing this from my iPhone, surrounded in boxes that shall be taken any minute as soon as the removal van get here. I'll give a round up of the last few hectic days tonight, but for now some procrastination is in order!

So unfortunately there is no title image today. This is due to the lovely people at virgin media who decided it would be really cool to cut my Internet off. How can this possibly take 12 hours to fix. These are the people who are creating the worlds first commercial space venture and they can't fix a cable! I am so taking off my pre-booked flight and getting my £100k back!

It was my best mate's birthday yesterday. I got him a pyrograph (basically a soldering iron with different tips for engraving wood). We decided in our beer-fuelled wisdom that a donut would be the perfect piece of wood for a trial run of the pyrgograph, thus the birthday donut was born!

Welcome to my blog! I have created this to keep anyone who is interested up to date on things that go on in both my modding and personal life.

I should quickly explain the image - that is my new 5 string fretless bass - a Crafter Congress 5FL. I didn't know what to put as a picture, so I thought it would do :)

One of the main reasons for creating the blog is to keep people posted during the next few weeks when i will be without my own internet connection and will generally be floating around a bit. I am moving house at the end of this month, June, however I am going down 2 weeks after everyone else since I have a few gigs to play and a music competition that I cannot miss. This blog will be a way for me to keep people up to speed on my projects whilst I am 'floating around' and once I settle down again it will also be a place for me to talk about computer related stuff, mini modding projects and general observations of life around me.

So how about an observation for today! This picture shall be the focus of my observation:

I have long been confused by this picture. As the 'de-motivational' comment suggests, this picture makes no sense. I have often tried to imagine possible situations where this strange group of elements could be drawn together. First of all we need to decide what is 'odd about this picture'. This may sound pretty simple, however try removing the 'odd' elements one by one until a plausible picture is left. To save you time, you end up with a normal picture in the shortest amount of steps by first removing the sewing machine, and then removing Cpt. Camp from the front of the picture - we are left with a crashed UPS van and some police:

This is now a perfectly rational picture - I'm sure we have all experienced the Neanderthal-ism of UPS employees. You would get your package quicker and in better condition and for a cheaper cost if you were employ some Hebridian monks from Nepal to get together and bless a Yak with the skill of driving. It would also be a lot more entertaining to have you package delivered by a Yak driving a UPS van. UPS could really make some money off this idea - I could imagine people ordering a collection without actually needing to send a package just to see a Yak driving a van. I wonder how feasible it would be to make a UPS outfit for a 4-legged grazing animal...

Anyway back to the subject! We have determined a reasonable scenario for the picture by removing certain 'odd' elements. Now we need to add the oddities back in whilst still maintaining a feasible situation. Let us try adding in Cpt. Camp first without his sewing machine or dinner jacket:

A reasonable explanation for him standing there with UPS van in the background could be that in-fact UPS caught on to my Yak idea already and then employed Dr. Who to take them back in time with his Tardis and deploy a Yak into this situation to make it feasible - Cpt. Campo would have had this picture taken with him in it because it was a 'LOL' situation (how many times have you seen a Yak driving a UPS van!):

Excellent. Now we need an explanation for the dinner jacket. This is very easy. We already have the perfect explanation right here - Dr. Who brought the Yak back, and then he must have decided he wanted to be in the photo too. He has a blue suit however....:

And now the final oddity that needs unravelling - the sewing machine. This one took me a while to work out. After pondering the situation and thinking about links to Dr. Who, I realised something - he always has a sidekick! Clearly however, whilst travelling through space and time, his assistant has been morphed into a rather fetching sewing machine. The sewing machine gives no clues as to which assistant has been the unlucky one to be transfigured, so I am just going to choose my favourite - Amy Pond (aka Karen Gillan). However one slight adjustment must be made - the Doctor needs to be Matt Smith, not our David Tennant look-a-like:

I think we can all agree that we now have a perfectly reasonable and explainable image.

Sort of...
